The opportunity:

As an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for our team in Tauranga you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of heavy vehicles.

Ideally you will be an allrounder with a can-do attitude to be flexible enough to work on anything including light commercial and heavy construction machinery. Day to day tasks will include routine checks to complex diagnostics and repairs, ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and meet industry standards.

In addition to the above you will:

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Complete engine repairs, brake servicing, transmission work, and other essential mechanical tasks.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
Work unsupervised and at times off-site when required.
Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Proven experience as Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A strong commitment to safety and quality.
Relevant qualifications and certifications in heavy vehicle mechanics.
A valid NZ driver's license (Class 4 or 5 preferred).
