About the role:

Are you looking to take your finance career to the next level? This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance business partner to work alongside our diverse business groups at Council. You will provide strategic and technical advice on a wide range of activities relating to Council's financial planning and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Working closely with cost centres to aid informed decision making.
• Preparation of budgets and meaningful monthly variance reporting for the cost centres.
• Maintenance and calculation of all development contributions accounts and charges.
• Coordination of effective cross departmental process for development contributions annual policy review.
• Providing advice to budget holders, including strategy and required finance/accounting training.
• Identifying and leading improvements to financial systems and management reporting.

About you:

If you are enthusiastic and forward-thinking, with good budgeting acumen and a strong ability to get the job done, then this may be the role for you.

You will also have:

• At least 7 years work experience working in a large corporate organisation managing multiple stakeholders
• A proven work record demonstrating the ability to carry out duties with minimal supervision to a high standard
• High level management accounting knowledge
• Strong financial modelling and spread sheeting skills
• Professional working knowledge in Microsoft based platforms, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities
