About the role

Position Summary:

• Title: Motor Vehicle Parts Fitters
• Wage: $30.00 per hour
• Location: Penrose, Auckland
• Employment Type: Permanent
• Hours of Work: 45 hours per week, from Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:30pm. An employee may be required to work on weekend and up to 52 hours per week. Guaranteed hours of work is 30 hours per week.

Tasks include:

• Fit and replace parts and accessories on motor vehicles

• Install and replace a variety of vehicle parts and accessories, including batteries, stereos, alarms, and sunroofs

• Remove damaged parts, prepare vehicle surfaces, and fit new components

• Replace and seal windscreens, windows, and trim, ensuring a secure and proper fit

• Repair and fit exhaust systems, including mufflers, pipes, and mounting brackets

• Service and replace cooling system parts, such as radiators, water pumps, and thermostats

• Inspect, repair, and refit tyres, and balance wheels using advanced equipment

• Operate pneumatic tools and equipment for efficient tyre changes and fittings

To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will have:

• At least one year of relevant experience

• A current NZ driver’s license.

• Flexibility to work all shifts including weekends and public holidays (as may be required)
