Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar (non-training) Commencing January 2025 – 6 Months, Fixed Term

We are seeking a non-training registrar to join our team, this is on a fixed term basis.
About the Role
As a non-training registrar in our O&G department, you will enjoy:
  • High-level support and training from experienced O&G Consultants and senior medical staff.
  • Opportunities to teach and mentor junior doctors (SHOs) and medical students, contributing to their professional development.
  • Hands-on experience in both directly and indirectly supervised clinics, as well as participation in at least two theatre sessions per week.
  • Exposure to a wide range of major and advanced Gynaecological procedures, including abdominal, vaginal, and minimal access surgery.
  • General ward work to further broaden your clinical skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake clinics and theatre sessions under appropriate supervision to enhance your skills and proficiency.
  • Participate in general ward work to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Fulfill after-hours on-call duties aligned with the consultant’s roster, with appropriate support provided. On call is one in five nights and weekends.
