About this role
As a Principal Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our Tauira Experience Product family, part of the broader Digital Experience team. You’ll work closely with the Product Owner to provide hands-on technical leadership, contributing at all levels of the software engineering lifecycle. Your role will be pivotal in establishing engineering practices, guidelines, and enhancing the developer experience.
In this role, you’ll lead a team of both internal and external talent, contributing to infrastructure design and embracing Dev Ops principles like continuous integration and deployment. Your thought leadership and guidance will drive continuous improvement in our processes and how we work.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in software development, including architecture and solution design. You’ll need to have experience with API development, integration, and data migration. Coaching and mentoring other software engineers will be a key part of your role, so strong interpersonal skills are a must.
You’ll be based in our Mangakotukutuku, Glenview, Hamilton location, and report to the Product Manager. Your ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, will be crucial to your success.
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, along with over 10 years of hands-on software development experience, we’d love to hear from you. A full New Zealand driver’s license is also required.
Join us and be part of a team that values innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. Apply today and help us shape the future of digital experiences at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa!
As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
Apply today!
Have we outlined a role that matches your capabilities and aspirations, and a workplace that appeals? Applications close on 9 September 2024.
