Production Operator

Your Impact
As a Production Operator at our Papakura site, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing machinery, ensuring the production of high-quality products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will follow designated processes with a strong safety focus, maintain attention to detail, and engage in regular problem-solving. Our team is dedicated and passionate about their work, and joining us will allow you to develop your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Please note: This role involves working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule of both day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Run selected manufacturing equipment, initially under supervision, until you can independently demonstrate the required skills, including start-up, changeover, and troubleshooting.
- Complete Safe Operating Assessments, strictly follow safety regulations, and maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Ensure machinery and the surrounding area are kept clean and compliant with safety and hygiene standards, including monthly safety audits and GMP internal audits.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure all products meet the required standards.
- Accurately complete all associated paperwork, including quality checks and downtime records, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Work closely with team members, providing support to fellow operators and contributing to a cooperative and efficient workplace.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for improving operational efficiency and safety.
About You

- Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in Manufacturing.
- Packer or Filler machine experience highly regarded.
- The ability to solve problems, make informed decisions, and offer creative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and work flexibly across different shifts.
- The capability to work unsupervised while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to continuously improving the quality and efficiency of operations.
- A strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and the physical capacity to perform manual tasks associated with the role.
- A current Forklift License is beneficial.
