Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position:
We are looking for a creative, innovative Kaiako (teacher) who's an expert in English, to join our Te Aka Taumatua team in Te Aka .
It's an exciting time at Te Kura as we continue to innovate and transform the way we provide distance learning. In our online environment, we work with the latest technologies and are constantly growing in this space.
We're forward thinking and do things a little differently, but that doesn't mean no student contact! You'll interact with students at advisories, communicate with them using online tools and guide a group of students as their Learning Advisor. We are committed to seeing you grow with us and development opportunities often crop up within the school.

E pa ana ki te tīma | About the team
Te Aka Taumatua leads our bilingual and immersion te reo Māori provision for full-time, Young Adults, and dual registered ākonga. As part of the Learning Delivery wāhanga, established in March 2020, Te Aka Taumatua complements our other regions, including Northern, Te Kāhui Hauāuru, Te Kāhui Rāwhiti, Central South, Southern, Overseas, and Early Childhood.
Since 2015, we have expanded our practice from teaching te reo Māori to offering Kaupapa Māori learning programmes, rich in Te Ao Māori skills, knowledge, and topics. We actively celebrate and participate in key cultural events such as Te Konohete, Te Matatini, Matariki, Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, Ngā Manu Kōrero, Ngā Tohu Reo Awards, and Waka Ama.

Ko koe tēnei | About you:
