The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced New Zealand registered Dietitian with wide variety of clinical expertise to lead the Outpatient Dietetic team consisting of diabetes, renal, bariatrics and general outpatients.
As the Section Head, you will be the lead driver of this group of dietitians to ensure that service expectations are met with a focus on quality person-centred care. You have primary responsibility for providing clinical leadership for the outpatient dietitian team, and for the day-to-day running and line management of the team, in addition to maintaining a partial clinical caseload. You will be part of a team that takes an inter-disciplinary approach to care, working in partnership with other clinical leaders and the Operations Manager to ensure a high standard of care is provided at all times.
This is a unique opportunity to extend and develop your clinical, line management and leadership experience.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills, you will bring an innovative approach to resolving issues and work well in an inter-disciplinary environment. You will have extensive experience in the supervision and development of staff. Ideally you will have a strong clinical background in renal and/or diabetes dietetics.

Essential:
- BCap Sc or BSc, and Post Grad Dip Diet or equivalent as recognised by the NZ Dietitians Board
- NZRD with current annual practicing certificate
- Extensive clinical experience and knowledge of Dietetic practice
- Minimum 5 years clinical experience and knowledge of dietetic practice, preferably with people with diabetes and/or renal disease
- Cultural awareness and understanding
- Clinical Leadership and/or management experience
- Clinical teaching experience
- Full, clean driver’s licence
