Social Worker - Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre

- Seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team at Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre
- Be a key part in the recovery journey of our Tangata Whai ora and use your skills and knowledge to improve health outcomes
- This is a permanent, full time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
We are seeking applications from registered social workers with experience in Mental Health. Buchanan Rehabilitation Centre (BRC) is a specialist, recovery-focused, open 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation service for people aged 18 to 65 years who are experiencing severe mental illness. Many people present with risks to themselves or others, and have co-existing drug and alcohol issues, forensic histories, physical health conditions, and complicating health, social, or other factors. BRC offers assessment, treatment, and intensive rehabilitation combined with a high level of clinical support and is most suitable for people with persistent, active mental health symptoms and disabilities who have the potential to benefit from intensive rehabilitation.

- Social Worker – PD
We welcome applications from experienced Social Workers who have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work and have relevant experience working in mental health. You will be registered with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board and hold a current APC. This position is not suitable for new graduates.

Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children’s Hospital, located in central Auckland.
