We’re on the hunt for an experienced, enthusiastic, and adaptable team player to join us as Technical Training Coordinator. Reporting to our Training and Development Advisor- Operations & Supply Chain, this full time, permanent role is based at our Papakura manufacturing site, working business hours with flexibility to support across other shifts required (we operate 24/5), free onsite parking and delicious snacks included!

Here at Griffin’s Snacks, we’re proud of our heritage and are New Zealand’s largest snack food company, producing many iconic and much-loved kiwi brands, including Griffin’s biscuits, Huntley & Palmers Crackers, Nice & Natural bars and ETA potato chips.

This role would be perfect for a rising star who is passionate about all things related to training. What you will be responsible for:
  • Rolling out, implementing, and monitoring the agreed training plans.
  • Working with the leadership team to develop, create and update SOP’s, supporting implementation when needed.
  • Supporting processes with the LMS System.
  • Engaging with new starters by supporting with induction and onboarding processes.
  • Liaising with wider team to ensure that all employees are trained on relevant Standard Operating Procedures, Critical Control Points and Quality Control Points.
  • Evaluate employee knowledge and provide recommendations for other required materials to improve training.
  • Working with a wider team to create and agree on weekly training schedules.
  • Monitoring training hours, ensuring they are within budget and that training is signed off within an agreed timeline.
What will you bring to the role?
  • 1-2 years of experience in a training role or a role which has training component (extra tick if this has been in food manufacturing).
  • You will be LMS system savvy and will be quick at learning new processes and systems promptly.
  • Although training will be provided, it would be great if you are a proficient user of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point, and basic knowledge of video/photo editing.
  • You will be inquisitive and eager to look at opportunities for continuous improvement across training as well as implementing these improvements.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and business partnering skills – you can tailor your approach and love being able to work with a range of people.
  • Flexibility, resilience and agility and adaptability.
  • Passion for sharing your knowledge with others, process and driving action.
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritizing skills – you are great at juggling multiple balls and jumping between tasks.
  • Self-motivation and a solutions-focused, innovative forward-thinking approach.
  • You will need to be comfortable spending time on the factory floor engaging, coaching and following up.
  • Strong people skills, effective and clear communication skills and positive attitude are a must.

What can you expect in return? You can expect to be part of a supportive, purpose driven team where you'll feel valued, have flexible working options, genuine growth opportunities, commitment to our community partnerships and a focus on wellness!
