We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Process invoices, payments, and collections. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and file necessary tax returns, including sales tax, payroll taxes, and income taxes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.
- Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
- Collaborate with management to track inventory levels and costs.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Adhere to all relevant accounting and financial regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and industry-specific accounting practices is an added advantage.
N80,000 monthly.
