HEAD OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS
We are in pursuit of a seasoned professional to assume the prestigious role of *Head of Business Operations* In this esteemed position, you will be responsible for the seamless management of the organization’s daily functions, ensuring the effective oversight of all vital aspects of our business operations, including our Global programs, Administrative functions, strategic planning and alignment, business development etc.
You will spearhead the team in the creation and execution of tailored programs that not only attract but also secure sponsorship for the academy, while adeptly managing the organization’s resources to meet both immediate and long-term business objectives. This role will require you to report directly to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
Job Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organisational goals and objectives, including revenue growth, cost management, and fan engagement.
2. Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the organisation's financial stability and growth. Manage relationships with financial institutions, sponsors, and partners.
3. Operational Efficiency: Streamline business processes and operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance fan experience. Oversee the management of facilities, including stadiums, training grounds, and administrative offices.
4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organisation, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
5. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of business operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
6. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, sponsors, partners, government agencies, and football governing bodies.
7. Compliance: Ensure the organisation's compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to finance, employment, and health and safety.
8. Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the organisation's financial and operational performance.
9. League and Competition Management: Oversee the organisation's participation in leagues and competitions, including compliance with rules and regulations.
10. Player Registration and Administration: Manage the registration and administration of players, including contracts, transfers, and disciplinary matters.
11. Matchday Operations: Oversee the planning and delivery of matchday operations, including ticketing, hospitality, and event management.
12. Sponsorship and Commercial Partnerships: Develop and manage sponsorship and commercial partnerships to generate revenue and promote the organisation's brand.
Qualification/Requirements
* HND,BSc,MBA,MSc. in Business Management or relevant program
* 8-12 years of relevant work experience in the same capacity and industry
* You must have proven work experience in Football industry, sports or NGO
* Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Relevant management certifications is an added advantage
* Strong experience managing budgets and financial forecasts
* Thorough understanding of diverse business processes and strategy development
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Effective communication, correspondence, and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft packages- Word,Excel and Power Point
* Excellent knowledge of database management and information systems
* Must be able to manage internal and external stakeholders
Mode of Work: Full Time/Hybrid
Net Salary: #300,000 monthly, plus other benefits
