Job Description (Summary)
As the Manager of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue generation, developing strategic marketing plans, and maintaining customer relationships. You will lead the sales team to meet business targets and ensure the company's market share growth in the African region.
Strategic Sales:
Develop and implement strategic marketing plans, sales plans, and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Engage in aggressive marketing and sale of capacities on underutilized routes to facilitate full commercialization of the network.
Revenue Growth:
Carry out effective sales forecasting and revenue growth to meet budget and sales targets.
Design plans to meet sales targets, develop relationships with clients, and evaluate costs for product pricing.
Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company products.
Relationship Management:
Manage existing customer relationships and facilitate contract renewals and capacity increases.
Engage in aggressive marketing and sale of capacities on underutilized routes.
Meet with key clients, assist sales representatives in maintaining relationships, and negotiate and close deals.
Conduct pre-marketing assessments of new routes to make them commercially ready.
Lead market research, competitor analysis, and customer surveys.
Business Development & Business Plan:
Manage the sales team, develop a business plan covering sales, revenues, and expense control, and promote the organization’s presence within Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
Amplify and maintain a consistent corporate image across all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
Sales Process Management:
Strategize and plan the sales process, including forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research, and brand strategy.
Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
Performance Management:
Lead the development of budgets based on revenue forecasts and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.
Manage individual and team performance to meet sales targets.
Create a sales plan and execute the sales strategy.
Monitor key accounts and add value.
Required Qualifications & Experience
● A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
● A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 1 year in a managerial or team lead role.
● Knowledge of Yoruba, Hausa, or Igbo is an advantage.
