For our headquarter in Abuja, Nigeria, where we operate for over 40 years, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Engineer to join our Transportation Department.
The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team focused on the design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, specifically in Road and Railway works. Job description:
As an Entry-Level Transportation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and vetting of road and railway projects, adhering to Nigerian, Euro, and AASHTO standards. You will work on a variety of tasks across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery. The role requires active participation in the design process and a commitment to maintaining high standards in all aspects of your work. You will also be expected to follow all relevant Health and Safety policies, including the H&S Policy, H&S Manual, and Local Procedures Manual.


Key responsibilities:

• Production and review of technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of highway/railway design, including road geometry, pavement design, signage, and road markings.
• Drafting and reviewing drawings for road and railway projects.
• Write technical reports and provide technical comments on various aspects of transportation projects.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure cohesive and integrated project delivery.
• Actively participating in project meetings and contributing to problem-solving efforts.
• Assisting in the preparation of project documentation and presentations.

Desired Skill:
Software Proficiency: MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point), Auto CAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
Communication: Proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data, with attention to detail.
Teamwork: Strong ability to work within a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.


Educational Qualifications:
Master's degree in Transportation Engineering.
