The program will take place from November 2024 through February 2025 in both Lagos, Nigeria and Nairobi, Kenya simultaneously, and will consist of part-time self-paced digital, virtual instructor-led, and in-person classroom courses at the local training center. There will be approximately 100 hours of instructor-led training over four (4) months, including seven (7) full Saturdays of in-person AWS instructor led certification training. There will also be additional training on select weekdays in the evening. A fully detailed schedule with classroom locations will be provided to candidates who have been chosen for the program.

How it works:
In order to qualify for the program, you will need to already have the AWS Cloud Practitioner Foundational certificate no later than October 28th 2024. During the program, we will meet regularly to review the course content and work on practice exam questions.

During month 1, all program attendees will take the AWS Associate Solutions Architect certification, and once you have successfully passed this certification, in month 2 you will progress to EITHER the Associate Developer Certification Track OR the Associate Data Engineer Certification Track depending on your initial choice during the application process.
This opportunity is available for individuals who meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Citizen of either Nigeria or Kenya
• 3+ years industry experience
• Experience in banking, finance, mining, construction, IT Consulting or in public sector (government)
• Hold of an active and valid AWS Cloud Practitioner Foundational Certification no later than October 28th 2024.
• Able to attend all required in-person and virtual instructor-led courses
• Required means to attend all classes (ie data, transit)
• Have the required hardware (laptop) to complete all activities
• A Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is a plus, but not required
• Any additional AWS certifications are a plus, but not necessary
• Certification(s) and/or relevant experience in Terraform, Python, and/or Git Hub is strongly preferred, but not required
