The position

By joining our team(s) in Automation, Robotics and Cybernetics, and Cyber Security you will have the opportunity to:
Technology, Digital and Innovation

• Create the digital future of Equinor, more remotely operated and autonomous facilities by use of AI and machine learning, advanced instruments and monitoring, control and optimization, robotics and drones, and predictive maintenance.
• Perform in technology research & development and implement the results at our plants.
• Accelerate the use of robots and drones within Equinor through software development, technology qualification, implementation, simulation, testing, and integration of robotic solutions.

Project Development

• Follow up automation and process system development in major plant development projects within oil & gas, carbon capture and storage, hydrogen production, from early phase engineering through construction and finally start-up of the plant.
• Develop network architecture and design to fulfil cyber security and operational functionality needs for plant automation systems.

Global Operations Technology

• Contribute to increasing cyber security awareness and improve integrity and reliability of Cyber Security barriers for Equinor’s assets.
• Contribute to safeguarding and improving OT infrastructure at Equinor’s operating assets.
• Contribute to large investment projects and modifications by securing cyber security in design.

You

For this position we are looking for those with:

• Master’s degree or Ph D with good academic record within Automation, Robotics and Cybernetics system design
• Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
• Fluent in English
• No more than than two years of experience
• Formal experience is not a requirement
• Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
