The programme
The programme lasts for 2-years and includes rotations of 3-12 months across functions, business areas.

The position

We are looking for innovative problem solvers who are analytical and have strong collaboration skills. As a technical safety engineer in Equinor you will:

• Be part of a dedicated team of technical safety engineers who provide engineering support to all of our offshore installations in Norway and internationally.
• Build on your operational experience, be hands-on and work with challenging tasks from day one.
• Develop your technical knowledge within core technical safety areas: risk assessment and management, active and passive fire protection, lifeboats and lifesaving equipment.
• Collaborate with people and team from different disciplines as well as stakeholders from different business areas.
• Solve challenges across our installations and improve economy of scale by contributing to standardized solutions.
• Contribute to competence building, continuous improvements and best practices within technical safety.
• Be part of shaping the future of energy and contribute to Equinor’s strategy to be a broader energy company.

You

For this position we are looking for those with:

• Master’s degree or Ph D with good academic record within technical safety, or another relevant technical discipline
• Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
• Fluent in English
• No more than than two years of experience
• Formal experience is not a requirement
• Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
