Your New Role
This family drives large, multi-year shifts in how the business runs, to deliver increased business value. It owns and drives integrated strategic and operational planning processes, long-term programme and project governance, merger and acquisition planning and change management.
This role is responsible for one or more Survitec projects supporting business transformation. It is focused on planning, organising, tracking, reporting and holding people to account for delivering activity to meet transformation and project objectives and achieve business change. Ensures resources are assigned appropriately.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities:
  • Translates high level business objectives into actionable plans, identifying and managing milestones and dependencies. Develops achievable resource plans, engaging appropriately with the business to identify and secure appropriate delivery support. Develops project plans to Survitec standard
  • Establishes project budget and benefits plan; manages activity to budget, identifying and analysing variance; drives activity to release and validate benefit to plan
  • Holds the project team to account for delivery of outcomes of the plan: time, cost and quality
  • Identifies and engages with project stakeholders to understand their needs, issues and challenges, accurately recording project requirements and developing the activity plans to meet them; validates delivery of planned outcomes and benefits
  • Engages and leads the project team; communicates the project vision and outcomes needed along with guidance to achieve defined outcomes; coordinates team actions to deliver on time, on budget and to defined quality standards; coordinates the flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed
  • Organises the project team for success, communicating clear vision for project impact and outcomes; implements appropriate governance standards and establishes the governance schedule that holds people to account for delivery
  • Manages the project team through gateway approvals process and ad hoc assurance reviews; takes appropriate action to resolve any issues identified and provide stakeholder confidence
  • Identifies and evaluates risks, issues, dependencies and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate. Develops, agrees and implements solutions to overcome these
  • Implements appropriate project controls to monitor progress and delivery of benefit; maintains accurate project records including risk, issues, decision and learning logs, escalating as appropriate; manages decisions within delegated authority, escalating as necessary
  • Assesses business impact and develops appropriate change management plans to inform, engage and support colleagues in new ways of working; carries out effective readiness assessment and takes all necessary steps to support the business to implement change successfully
  • Provides appropriate documentation and training to enable successful transition to business as usual. Identifies and records lessons learned to inform future project activity
  • Contributes to project and programme management communities of practice, supporting business colleagues to develop and utilise project and programme skills in the wider business

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
  • Similar experience that enables the role holder to work unsupervised to recognised standards
  • Managerial experience, supervising the delivery of others Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Appetite to deliver work schedule
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Willing to travel as and when required
