ABB Marine develop and deliver equipment and solutions for marine power, electric propulsion, automation and energy storage systems to several type of vessels. The vessels are built in various yards, mainly in Europe and some in Asia. ABB Marine & Ports Norway are seeking a dedicated employee to join our Project Management team in the position as Project Manager.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will lead a project team and have responsibility for delivering the projects according to contractual requirements, quality standards, cost estimates and safety requirements defined for the project. You will follow the project from final Sales phase until vessel is handed over to owner and the project to our Service department. Your main tasks • Motivate and lead project teams. • Evaluate and mitigate HSE and Environmental risk. • Close communication with customer and other stakeholders. • Follow up contract terms and conditions. • Plan and follow up project progress including procurement. • Manage project finance and perform internal and external project reporting. • Manage changes, risks, and opportunities. • Some travels to yard for meetings and factories for Factory Acceptance Tests.Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor or Master degree within Electrical-Engineering/Automation.
- Experience within marine systems or similar as an-engineer will be an advantage.
- Experience as Project Manager or aspiring for such a challenge.
- Must be fluent in both written and verbal English. Norwegian language skills are also preferred.
- Ability to motivate and lead project teams and manage both work and personnel in an efficient manner.
- Ability to take initiatives, ownership and are self-driven and result oriented.
- Structured and accurate.
- Ability to see opportunities for business and drive improvements activities.
- Likes to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Enthusiastic.
