Solution Engineer - Complex Solutions

If so, we are looking for a motivated and proactive Solution Engineer to join the Complex Solutions team in our Pan-Nordic Carrier business.

As our new Solution Engineer, you will report to our Head of Carrier Complex Solutions. You will be part of a team that supports our Regional, International, and Infrastructure Sales teams in their daily work. The Complex Solution team works with designing solutions, building business cases, and providing pricing input for our largest Carrier and OTT customers. As the name of the team implies, the solutions are generally large and non-standard. The team mainly handles solutions including multiple locations, Dark Fiber, Cross Border Wavelengths, and Data Centers.

Here are some examples of key responsibilities during a typical day:

• Be in direct dialog with our customers and participate in technical design discussions as well as commercial offerings.
• Together with the Global Account Managers, develop business cases for large clients like Hyperscalers and other Network owners.

In addition, you will act as an advisor internally and externally for our biggest customers, take part in strategic projects to extend our footprint, and have the opportunity to work with various classified accounts that may require special security clearance.

To thrive in this role we believe you have:

• Knowledge about the design of optical DWDM network, dark fiber infrastructure, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks on an international level.
• Proficient communication abilities paired with effective presentation techniques for representing Global Connect in client discussions, and during various events and conferences.
• Full professional language proficiency in a Scandinavian language and English.
• A relevant higher education or experience within Technology or Economics.

In this role it would be beneficial to have experience in technical sales support, product management, and project management. Experience with GIS tools and the ability to produce documentation (KMZ files) is also advantageous. We imagine you having 5+ years’ experience within this field.
