Tech Soft 3D’s CEETRON software components provide CAE application developers with a full set of technologies that cover the standard CAE workflow: data access & interoperability, meshing, solving, postprocessing and visualization. The Senior Software Engineer, CAE is responsible for ensuring the C++ developments necessary to access, extract and postprocess finite element input data and results. Although contributions will primarily target the Ceetron Envision product line, the role is central by nature and will actively participate in the data structure synchronization with the other toolkits of the CEETRON product line.

This position is open to a hybrid worker near our offices in either Tønsberg - Norway, Sophia Antipolis – France, or Lyon - France.


What You Will Do:

• Participate in the maintenance and development of Tech Soft 3D’s CAE toolkit product line
• Primary focus on CAE data-related developments, including data access, data extraction and postprocessing.
• In collaboration with our front-end web developers, work on demo applications from the backend perspective
• Contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the CAE team’s engineering processes, including Dev Ops and QA
• Participate in technical marketing actions.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and operate in an Agile environment
• Have fun working with a diverse group of individuals across several countries!
• Continually pursue excellence by focusing on business outcomes, always.

The Qualifications:

• Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
• 7+ years in a software development position
• Solid understanding of finite element data structures and simulation technologies
• Excellent skills in designing, writing, and debugging C++ code
• Mastery of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, design patterns, etc.
• Exceptional analysis and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to learn independently
• Professional working proficiency in English

Experience You Should Definitely Brag About:

• Experience in C development
• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with 3D visualization technologies
• Experience with CI/CD, Azure Dev Ops, git
• Experience working in an international team
