The Vice President is responsible for system-development. Creating, maintaining and optimizing processes, standards and methods. To seek new digitalization opportunities and develop present digital software solutions for the future. Optimizing the standards and methods in the whole organization for delivering high-end engineering quality and products. Plan and control engineering activities, capacity and timing.

• Define, plan, control and optimize Department Scope of Work together with setting Goals and Objectives for the PSM unit in VARD Group Design and Engineering
• Define, plan, control and optimize budgets, workload, capacity sizing, manning and make or buy strategy for all activities/projects within the department
• Assign roles and delegate responsibilities to subordinates of his/her department ensuring availability of all needed support, supervising, coaching and counsels together with following up relevant execution
• Inspire, develop and spread the discipline competence within the department and across the company units and entities
• Ensure integration and coordinate the department discipline with other company managers and other relevant stakeholders both internally and externally
• Develop personal growth opportunities within the department
• Responsible for the department to implement company values, strategy and to meet company targets
• Personnel responsibility for two experienced department managers

Some travel activity should be expected to the various VARD locations, both domestically and abroad, in addition to other relevant stakeholders within our business.
The Vice President is reporting to Senior Vice President Design & Engineering.

• Relevant higher education
• 7+ years of working experience
• Experience from maritime industry
• Experience from management positions is beneficial
