Job Description
Working in O&M Management
The O&M Technology & Process unit provides technical steering, support and services to Statkraft assets to enable standardization and optimization of operations and maintenance of our assets. The unit has the group-wide responsibility to define requirements, processes and guidelines on how to conduct O&M in Statkraft and to review the implementation of these. Further, the unit delivers standardized services that enable Statkraft to capture value from synergies and provides expert support to business units in both the development and operational phases.
Following Statkraft strategy towards 2030 with strong wind power growth ambitions, a dedicated Wind Power- unit has been established to provide Group O&M functions with the goal to secure competitive operations and maintenance at scale for our wind assets.
We are now looking for a new blade engineer to join our team.
As a blade engineer in our department, you will be in a key position to develop your competence within wind power technology, wind turbine blades & composites through on-the-job training and project participation. Through your development within these areas, you will be gaining increasing knowledge and responsibility within important areas like:

Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must be eligible for security clearance and authorisation. Background checks will be conducted before hire.

Job Description

As a blade engineer in our department, you will be in a key position to develop your competence within wind power technology, wind turbine blades & composites through on-the-job training and project participation. Through your development within these areas, you will be gaining increasing knowledge and responsibility within important areas like:
- Developing and maintaining specialist competence within the wind turbine blade area and be a part of Statkraft’s leading competence within this area.
- Ensuring efficient governance related to wind turbine blades through the development and follow-up of relevant technical requirement & specifications.
- Develop, support and secure common principles for turbine blade condition monitoring, data collection, analysis and assessment to optimize turbine blade condition through turbine lifetime.
- Develop the wind discipline through value driven innovation, research, and development, through both managing and participating in various blade-related R&D projects and activities.
- Supporting regional teams in operation and maintenance of assets, e.g., troubleshooting, technical RCA, End-of-Warranty OEM discussions to optimize maintenance cost and lifetime extensions.
- Project support related to greenfield, M&A and repowering projects, covering blade related topics.
- Support relevant internal and cross-discipline projects and initiatives.
- Digitalization of blade maintenance through new NDT methods and monitoring.
- Support the Blade Expert teams.
Qualifications
Your background and experience
We are looking for a dedicated blade engineer who covers several of the following areas:
- Bachelor or master’s in mechanical engineering or similar technical background, followed by relevant professional experience. Also newly graduated candidates with specialisation covering areas like blade & composites technology are encouraged to apply.
- Relevant experience from wind farm operations or operational support.
- Experience from composites in the blade industry or similar.
- Experience within blade condition monitoring, different sensor technologies, digitalization, data collection & analysis.
- Good insight into quality assurance.
- Strong HSSE commitment.
- High integrity and ethical values.
- Commercial and analytical mindset.
- Project management experience.
- Experience from managing and performing training sessions, workshops & expert teams.
- Proactive communication, taking ownership of your results and involving relevant stakeholders in the organization.
- Thrive in an international environment and good at creating strong relations both internally and externally.
- Excellent communication skills in one of the Scandinavian languages and English, both orally and in writing. Language skills in German, French and/or Spanish/Portuguese is an advantage.
