Hiring for a reputed Medical Center in Muscat Oman for the role of General Practitioner (GP) , acting as the first point of contact for patients.
The key roles and responsibilities:
1. Patient Care

• Diagnosis and Treatment: GPs diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, from acute illnesses and injuries to chronic diseases and complex health issues.
• Routine Check-ups: Conduct regular health check-ups to monitor and manage patients' overall health and prevent disease.
• Emergency Care: Provide initial care for emergencies and decide if a referral to a specialist or hospital is necessary.

2. Preventive Medicine

• Health Education: Educate patients about healthy lifestyles, preventive measures, and managing chronic conditions.
• Screenings and Vaccinations: Administer vaccinations and conduct screenings for diseases like cancer, diabetes, and hypertension.

3. Coordination of Care

• Referrals: Refer patients to specialists, hospitals, or other healthcare providers as needed.
• Follow-Up: Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans based on their responses to treatment.

4. Administrative Duties

• Medical Records: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for each patient.
• Health Documentation: Complete necessary documentation for insurance, referrals, and medical records.

5. Patient Advocacy

• Support: Advocate for patients' health needs and work to ensure they receive appropriate care and resources.
• Counseling: Provide emotional support and counseling to patients dealing with mental health issues or chronic conditions.

6. Continuing Education

• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest medical research, treatments, and technologies to provide the best care.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

7. Community Engagement

• Health Promotion: Engage in community health initiatives and programs to promote public health and well-being.

8. Ethical and Legal Responsibilities
