The roles and responsibilities of internal audit:
1. Risk Assessment

• Identify Risks: Assess and identify areas of potential risk within the organization, including financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risks.
• Evaluate Risk Management: Evaluate how effectively risks are being managed and controlled.

2. Internal Control Evaluation

• Assess Controls: Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls to ensure they are adequate and functioning properly.
• Recommend Improvements: Suggest improvements to internal controls to address weaknesses or inefficiencies.

3. Compliance Audits

• Ensure Compliance: Verify that the organization is complying with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Report Findings: Report any compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

4. Operational Efficiency

• Evaluate Operations: Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes and procedures.
• Identify Improvements: Recommend changes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and performance.

5. Financial Audits

• Review Financial Statements: Examine financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Detect Fraud: Identify any signs of financial mismanagement or fraud.

6. Special Investigations
