Assistant Project Manager

Position: Assistant Project Manager
Location: Lahore/Islamabad
Education: Master’s/Bachelor’s in Social Sciences/Economics/Education/Public Policy
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in supporting the planning, delivery, and management of educational projects in Pakistan, preferably in the development sector.
Experience in assisting with project coordination from initiation to completion, with a solid understanding of project life cycles. Familiarity with various aspects of project management, including procurement of services and materials, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, team collaboration, and basic financial management. Ability to work effectively with teams, ensure quality assurance, manage stakeholders, and use technology to support project implementation.
Role Purpose:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting and assisting the project management team in delivering successful projects.
Job Description:
Assist in managing and coordinating the activities of the GOAL program, ensuring they are executed within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.
Collaborate with project teams to track the progress of project, identify potential risks and issues, particularly those affecting girls and out-of-school children, and assist in implementing mitigation measures.
Support the development and maintenance of project plans including tasks, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful implementation.
Contribute to effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, partners, and communities to ensure alignment with the GOAL program’s objectives and outcomes.
Assist in facilitating project meetings and preparing necessary documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and action plans.
Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring they align with planned costs and financial guidelines relevant to the project.
Conduct research and analysis to support the planning and decision-making processes, with a focus on improving educational access and outcomes for girls and out-of-school children.
Ensure adherence to ITA's and British Council's code of conduct, policies, and procedures, as well as compliance with Safeguarding and PSEA policies.
Skills:
Assistant Project Manager should excel in teamwork and communication, with proficiency in project management tools and basic budgeting. Problem-solving and adaptability are key for handling project challenges. Skills in supportive supervision, project planning, and coordination are essential. Familiarity with educational initiatives, especially those focused on improving access and outcomes for girls and out-of-school children, is also important.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs80,000.00 - Rs100,000.00 per month
