Construction Site Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Site Supervisor will be based in the field in the targeted district. The site supervisor will assist in carrying out the technical tasks in infrastructure works including survey, designing estimation and documentation. Assist the Project Engineer in the daily tasks such as field level monitoring of the contractor and workers for implementation of the infrastructure scheme construction.
Job Description:
- Develop Drawings, design and preparation of Bo Qs according of the project components.
- Analyze infrastructural designs and Bo Qs proposed from community and Donor organizations and provide recommendations; assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
- Supervises the process and progress of the project through periodic visits.
- Facilitate the project engineer to compare the actual cost of the project with the estimates.
- Assist the project engineer in analyzing equipment, systems, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
- Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
- Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Assist the project engineer in collaborating with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Facilitate the project engineer to supervise and support the technical team of the project.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the project engineer.
- Review feedback received from the field and ensure its standard as per SOPs for submission to the project engineer.
- Maintain close liaison with mobilization officers and CBOs
- Compile and submission of bi-weekly or monthly reports for all construction works
- Any other assignment given by the supervisor according to the project need
- BSc /B-Tech in Civil Engineering and Technology
- At least 1 Year of experience in the humanitarian and development projects
- Preferably proficient in Auto CAD or other Civil Engineering software
- Knowledge and experience in providing presentations and written reports
- Good inter-person and communication, liaison and presentation skill
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability and willingness to autonomously travel to duty site and villages when required.
- Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions like long distance walking to work/distribution sites
- Excellent spoken and written local language Sindhi, Urdu and English language skills
- Good computer skills – ability to write weekly and monthly reports and data analysis.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
