Position Overview:
We are seeking a Curriculum Lead in Robotics to join our Curriculum Development Department. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of robotics, technology integration, and curriculum development. This position requires an individual with a passion for educational innovation, who is committed to creating dynamic, interdisciplinary robotics curricula that align with our STEM-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and enhancement of the robotics curriculum, focusing on critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Integrate robotics with broader STEM concepts to create interdisciplinary and engaging lesson plans for students across various grade levels.
- Collaborate with other subject leads and educators to ensure a cohesive and innovative curriculum that meets both national standards and SOAR’s mission.
- Provide ongoing mentorship, workshops, and training for teachers to effectively implement the robotics curriculum.
- Research and incorporate the latest trends and advancements in robotics education to keep the curriculum cutting-edge.
- Oversee the integration of robotics into extracurricular programs, such as competitions and clubs, to foster hands-on learning.
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development or teaching Robotics, preferably at the secondary or higher secondary level.
- Strong expertise in robotics, coding, and emerging educational technologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing hands-on, project-based learning initiatives in Robotics.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
