Senior Full-Stack WordPress Developer

As a Senior Full-Stack Word Press Developer at Baseball America, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining a complex, modern Word Press site. Your work will extend beyond Word Press to include broader technical operations, such as integrating analytics and paywall systems, managing the CDN, handling light server administration, and more. This role requires a self-sufficient problem solver who can effectively translate non-technical requirements into practical solutions and deploy them efficiently, operating with minimal guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with non-technical team members to understand requirements, independently troubleshoot, translate them into effective technical solutions, and deploy them.
Develop and deploy new features and bug fixes to a custom Word Press theme using OOP PHP principles.
Create and modify UI components using React and SCSS.
Manage a range of tasks from quick bug fixes to larger-scale, in-depth projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.
Handle general technical operations tasks and IT-related responsibilities outside of Word Press.
Conduct thorough QA testing in staging environments and develop safe deployment procedures with a clear reversion plan for production releases.
Write queries to manually edit the external SQL Server database as needed to support Word Press functionality.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in PHP, with strong object-oriented programming skills and the ability to design new components following best practices, including SOLID principles.
Extensive experience with modern Word Press development, including custom themes, plugins, fields, blocks, taxonomies, database tables, and advanced site architectures.
Strong front-end skills, including proficiency in Java Script (with experience using React and ES6+ features), HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive design, with experience in creating and modifying UI components in a Word Press context.
Skilled in building resilient data pipelines for processing large data sets, including consuming REST APIs, with a strong emphasis on error handling and ensuring the system fails gracefully.
Extensive experience with My SQL and database usage and design, including writing manual queries, implementing CRUD functionality in external applications and Word Press, and designing database changes to optimize query performance.
Comfortable managing development environments and workflows, including using Node.js and npm scripts for front-end dependencies and builds, Docker and Docker Compose for development and deployment, and utilizing linting processes.
Understanding of Dev Ops practices and tools, including proficiency in Git and Git Hub for version control, with the ability to correctly use branches, perform pull requests, merge code, and handle reversions.
Location: One Sol Tech, Rani Arcade 3. F Block. Satellite Town, Rawalpindi
**Shift Timing: Night Shift (6:00 pm to 2:30 am in summers, 7:00 pm to 3:30 am in winters, Pakistan Standard Time)**
