State Bank Reporting

• Reporting to SBP on quarterly basis List of Frozen account of proscribed individuals/ Entities listed in NACTA first, fourth schedule and UNSC.
• Reporting each quarter Sanction template based on FCC/CFT guidelines- Details of Accounts of proscribed/ designated entities/ individuals and/ or their associates frozen/Defreeze by the bank.
• Reporting each quarter Sanction template based on FCC/CFT guidelines- Details of STRs reported on TF Risk and Details of Transactions and account opening rejected due to ML/TF /PF risk by the bank.
• Reporting Rejected Transactions and Account Opening Rejected against ML/TF/PF to SBP on daily basis.
• Timely addressing ad-hoc queries from SBP.

SAR

• Reporting of Sanctions related Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to FMU on blocking of accounts, on-boarding of individual in any facility requests (account opening, credit facilities) and transactions attempted & conducted.
• Maintaining Control Sheet and MIS for reconciliation purpose.
• Reporting of Account Opening Rejected to KYC team on monthly basis.
• Response to queries of SBP related to SAR.

MIS

• Business process improvement: Automation / Semi Automation of daily functions within Sanctions for faster processing of voluminous tasks, to reduce turnaround time and increase accuracy.
• Right utilization of resources
• Accuracy in data updating / reconciliation
• Time saving and efficiency
• Reliability and consistence of output
• Creation of Centralized MIS structure for timely and effective reporting.
• Prepare MIS with different cuts and presentation through different MISs for the sanctions management for the overview of functionality within Sanctions and make appropriate decisions to best utilize the resources.
• Creating a Hub for all SBP reporting from Sanctions through data compilation.
• Validation data compilation, summarization, and publication of the data received from I&FI and other stakeholders before onward submission.

Policy & Procedure

• Developing and updating all documentation requirements of the Sanctions Compliance Unit including, policies & procedures, SLAs, SOPs, Circulars, and Memos in line with SBP's FCC/ CFT/ CPF Regulations and the bank's Global FCC/CFT/CPF Policy.
• Coordinating and supporting HBL International Locations in developing their SOPs, SLAs with the Unit.
• Providing on the job Training to existing staff and New Hires.
• Coordinating with the T&D Unit in Regulatory Compliance in developing Sanctions related trainings for other departments.
• Managing system development requirements in line with changing FCC/ CFT/ CPF Guidelines including raising Change Requests (CR), developing BRDs, liaising with IT Department, reviewing FSDs, and conducting UATs to ensure FCC requirements are met.

Training & Development

• Actively participate in bank-wide awareness trainings for FCC/CFT/CPF to strengthen the Compliance culture within the Bank. Take necessary initiative to apprise FCC staff about changing industry trends and best practices.

Remediation of Audit & Inspection Findings

• Responding to SBP Annexures of Thematic Inspections and Internal and External Audit reports, develop remedial action plans as needed in conjunction Screening Officers

Project Based Assignments / Initiatives

• Additional projects/ initiatives from time-to-time as directed by the Head Sanctions compliance, system issues, and various regulatory aspects.

People Management

• Lead, direct and motivate team to ensure clarity of purpose and work towards common goals with a focus towards talent retention

Minimum qualifications:

• Master’s Degree from an HEC accredited institution.
• Knowledge of prevalent local and geopolitical trends impacting the FCC environment in Pakistan and other countries with HBL operations.
• Strong Presentation and Communication skills.

Minimum experience:

• 4 – 7 years of relevant experience in FCC / Compliance

Minimum qualifications:
