Banquet Setup Houseperson $18/hour

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Banquet Set-Up Attendant to join our events team. The Banquet Set-Up Attendant will be responsible for arranging and preparing event spaces according to specifications, ensuring that all details are attended to for a successful event. This role is essential in creating an inviting and functional environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet rooms and areas according to event specifications and layout diagrams.
- Arrange tables, chairs, linens, tableware, and other event equipment.
- Ensure all event spaces are clean, organized, and presentable before, during, and after events.
- Assist with the transportation and storage of banquet equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate with event planners and other staff to meet the specific needs of each event.
- Respond to guest requests and make adjustments as needed during events.
- Assist with the breakdown and clean-up of event spaces after events conclude.
- Maintain an inventory of banquet supplies and report any shortages or damages to the Banquet Manager.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Banquet Manager.
- Previous experience in event setup, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- This position requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the event location.
- The Banquet Set-Up Attendant may be exposed to various weather conditions when setting up outdoor events.
