Job Summary
Commercial Roofing Estimator/ Project Manager
This position is responsible for estimating, ordering, and managing projects from initial bid thru delivery, and final payment of commercial metal roofing projects.
Responsibilities include:
Pre-Award
· Work with Director of Major Project Sales to develop a scope of work for each project that will position Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing with the best chance of securing a successful project
· Work with in house CAD team to develop an accurate material layout with quantities for estimating to develop the project quote. Submit proposal with detail drawings to roofing contractors identified by the sales team and be prepared for So W discussions
· Attend pre bid meetings and job walks
Post-Award
· Verify the successful roofing contractor has completed credit application and has sufficient credit to cover project material cost
· Work with credit department to secure payment terms for project. (Prepay, joint check, credit terms)
· Prepare the roofing material order (including CAD, source, and submittal documents and submit it to the roofing contractor for approval.
· Verify all submitted documents have been approved and returned before establishing the manufacturing schedule
· Verify project schedule and advise production and logistics of requested schedule and any changes that may occur.
· Work with supply chain to procure necessary items that may need to be special ordered for the project
· Track project and provide documentation to the roofing contractors, highlight any deviation from original scope and issue change order for said deviation
· Provide all close out documents and ensure final payment is made before releasing or issuing lien release and warranties.
· Work with roofing contractor or GC on any scope deficiency or product claims and resolve successfully prior to the issuance of final close-out documentation

Education and Experience
· Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or related experience
o Engineering, construction management, or other construction experience
· Minimum Experience: 2 to 4 years
· Field-of Expertise: Knowledge of generally accepted construction practices
o Roofing experience a plus

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
