Who are we looking for:
As an Assistant Vendor and Selection Management Manager, you are responsible for sourcing, selection, and management of vendors and suppliers for Alfamart's construction projects. Ensures the timely procurement of high-quality materials and services, maintains strong relationships with vendors, and ensures compliance with Alfamart’s standards and policies. Assists in vendor performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and cost management.
- Assist in the identification and selection of qualified vendors and suppliers for construction-related materials, services, and equipment.
- Manage vendor relationships by ensuring clear communication and alignment with Alfamart’s project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
- Help evaluate vendor performance through periodic assessments, audits, and feedback processes.
- Assist in negotiating contracts, pricing, and payment terms to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Construction Department and Procurement Department, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services for ongoing projects.
- Track and manage vendor compliance with Alfamart’s terms and conditions, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Assist in resolving vendor-related issues, disputes, or performance concerns
- Support the continuous improvement of procurement processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced vendor collaboration.
- Assist in managing the tendering process for construction projects, including the preparation and distribution of request-for-quote (RFQ) documents.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or in a related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, cost control and budget management are a preferred.
- Professional licensed is required.
- Knowledge of vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage vendor relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with construction materials, services, and industry standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in procurement management software and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
