Responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical solutions in Dev Ops and public cloud technology domains
• Support the development of more junior colleagues through design and code review and mentoring
• Support other teams in the delivery of their objectives using the full range of Agile and Dev Ops disciplines, methodologies and tools
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and sometimes their customers
• Contribute to a team culture that values openness, collaboration, initiatives, and innovation
• Support the enhancement of Staizen’s internal systems through automation, integration, security and other efforts
• Able to lead others and contribute more broadly; has broad knowledge with depth in some areas

Requirements

• Solid background in IPv4 networking
• Solid background in Agile software development practices and methods
• Experienced with code review, git (including rebase, merge, squash, etc.), pull requests
• Demonstrable capability and knowledge in several of the following (we’re not expecting you to have expertise in all or even most of these, but some is essential):

Strong cloud platform knowledge: AWS
Modern software development of web or mobile apps using .NET, Java, node, Go
Infrastructure as code (Ia C) tools: Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, AWS CDK
Security expertise: cryptography, OIDC, OAuth2, SAML, TLS, PKI, X509
Deep networking expertise: VPN, IKE, NAT, IPtables, overlay networking, traffic inspection, WAF, DDo S
Storage services (S3, EFS)
Linux system administration/Bash scripting
Linux container technologies
Container cluster orchestration platforms (AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
Modern hosting architectures including CDNs, traffic acceleration, load balancers, reverse proxies (HAProxy, nginx, etc.), API gateways, serverless platforms)
Relational database platforms: My SQL, Postgre SQL, SQL Server, others
No SQL platforms: AWS Dynamo DB, Mongo DB, Redis, others
Log monitoring solutions: Splunk, Sumo Logic, Graylog, ELK, others
Metric monitoring solutions: Prometheus, Grafana, others
Strong CI/CD technology knowledge: Git Hub Actions, Terraform Cloud/Enterprise, etc.

• Open and flexible to work on different programming languages or framework
• Passion for developing robust software and systems and writing maintainable code
