Job Description

• Designs major components or major portions of functional systems, technically advanced prototypes, and specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
  
• Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations.
  
• Develops data and makes parametric models, layouts, sketches, and notes for design proposals.
  
• Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability, replace ability, strength-weight efficiency, and contractual specification requirements and cost.
  
• Designs, develops and tests metallic or non-metallic structures or materials and their related fabrication processes for use in engineering designs.
  
• Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.
  

Qualifications

• University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  
• Preferably with at least 4 years of involvement in a design organization producing component level design and Research and Development
  
• Advanced experience in any of these design software applications: CAD/CATIA V5/NX or other complex CAD software applications
  
• Knowledge of using NX is an advantage.

• Must not be under Performance Success Plan.
• Must not have had any disciplinary case within the past year.
• With at least a year in his/her current position.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
