We are looking for Junior Software Engineer to join our Manila Academic Technology Team. As a key member of our team, your goal will be to develop and maintain back-end software solutions used in Academic publishing. This role will play an essential part in the support and development of Cambridge Core and its key content and platform applications.

What makes you the ideal candidate in this role?

As a Junior Software Engineer, developing and supporting web applications and APIs used internally by teams in Cambridge University Press & Assessment, as well as externally by our partners. You will work closely with other developers in an agile software development environment.

The following will help you be an ideal candidate for this post:

• 1 year experience of Java and related frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
• Experience using relational databases (SQL)
• Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and Git

Experience in any of the below technologies is a bonus:

• No SQL databases such as Mongo DB
• Maven
• Docker
