Learning and Development Director

Overview:
The Learning and Development Director is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's learning and development programs. This role aims to enhance employee capabilities, foster career growth, and support the strategic goals of the organization through targeted learning initiatives.
Roles and responsibilities:

Develops and executes a strategic learning and development plan that aligns with the organization's goals and enhances its competitive position in the industry.
Oversees the creation and implementation of innovative and effective learning programs across the company, including leadership development, technical skills training, and soft skills enhancement.
Evaluates and selects appropriate learning platforms and technologies to ensure effective delivery and tracking of training programs.
Partners with internal stakeholders to assess ongoing and future training needs and to develop bespoke training solutions for different departments.
Leads the learning and development team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in training practices.
Manages the learning management system (LMS) and ensure it effectively supports the company's training needs.
Oversees the budget for the learning and development department, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing return on investment in training initiatives.
Stays abreast of the latest trends and best practices in corporate training and adult education to continually enhance the organization’s L&D offerings.
Develops and implements metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and utilize feedback to improve future training initiatives.
Collaborates with HR and business leaders to integrate learning and development with broader HR processes and business strategies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree in a related area preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a corporate training program.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies.
Proficient in using learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training effectiveness and ROI.
Knowledge of current trends in learning and development, including digital and remote learning methodologies.
Must be able to speak in English. Preference will be given to candidates who can speak both English and Mandarin.
