JOB SUMMARY:
To work as part of a process and product enhancement unit, focusing on product and process development by using engineering principles to increase the efficiency and value of the business, utilizing cost effective mechanisms while improving overall productivity. Performs the machine design to the highest quality standard in conformance to the end user requirements and satisfaction. Under the supervision of Research and Development Section Manager, assumes the responsibility of directing gives instruction to the R&D staff with regards to the work instructions, safety measures and machines and jigs design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main Job
· Visit production facilities to evaluate processes.
· Create concept drawing of a machines and things to improve.
· Design, models and test prototypes for product.
· Produce final CAD assembly drawing and specifications.
· Identify and select materials and standard parts needed on the new design of machines.
· Create parts drawing of the machines.
· Troubleshoots and set-up Vision system for product specification in production area.
· Give advice and information to the person in-charge on how to adjust and what to do if they encountered problem on the new machines made.
· Give support to the Production Engineers/Technician for the proper set-up of the Reeling machine with Vision system.
· Teaching and guiding new staff on how to use proper JIS in Auto CAD especially in designing of machines and conduct orientation to the newly hired about our functions and responsibility in the company.
· Conduct patrol in each section to check all machines and improvement made by R&D.
· Prepares related reports, documents for R&D section.
· Must show outstanding leadership, respectable code of conduct in assigned job by demonstrating a good example to follow in accordance with the company policy.
· To lead in proper maintenance on housekeeping, creating and maintaining a work environment that is consistently clean and orderly.
· Performs related functions as may be assigned by the superiors.
Management
· Co-responsible in meeting departmental productivity and quality goals.
· Ensures that all confidential information and documents are strictly maintained.
· Ensures that the quality environmental policy is being faithfully followed; 5’s and safety procedure especially using of PPE’s (Personal Protective Equipment) are being strictly practiced.
Communication
· Communicates effectively with Group Leaders, Supervisors, Consultants, and Production Managers and to all concerned section.
· Practices and maintains high discipline and business ethics.
· Provides information as maybe needed by the group, section or the entire organization.
· Facilitates / attends group, section, production, organization meeting as required and necessary.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Education and Experience
· College Graduate with the Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or ECE.
· Knowledgeable in Auto CAD mechanical(2D & 3D)
· Solidworks (3D CAD)
Competencies and Knowledge
· High level of awareness on the relationship of work scope, time and resources.
· Must have experienced in mechanical design.
· Highly analytic and good inter-personal skills.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in order to organize others and motivate them to achieve certain goals and good listener.
Working Condition
· Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
· Responsibilities may require of an extended time in response to the need of the operation.
