Full job description
A Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality of finished products by conducting tests and diagnostics, addressing and repairing issues, and coordinating with the production team to determine and rectify root causes of defects. They maintain detailed records of quality control findings and non-conforming units, as well as the actions taken. Additionally, they ensure a clean and well-maintained working environment, including the regular maintenance of tools and equipment. The technician also affixes barcodes and properly packages items following quality control procedures.
Responsibilities:
a. Performs 100% Quality Control and testing of finished products
b. Set-ups, replaces and repairs problematic unit based on issue identified
c. Coordinates quality control issues with assembler and Production Department Head/Assistant to determine root cause and preventive/corrective measures to be undertaken
d. Affixes barcodes and packs items into proper packaging post-Quality Control
QUALIFICATIONS
a. Familiar with electrical schematics or mechanical systems is a plus
b. Can read wiring diagrams
c. Knowledgeable in electronic testing, electrical assembly and repair is a plus
d. Takes initiative and has high motivation for excellence
e. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
