The Tax Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations. This role involves preparing and filing tax returns, conducting internal audits, and providing strategic advice to optimize the organization’s tax position.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Tax Return Preparation:

• Prepare and file accurate tax returns, including Income Tax, Value-Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax, and other relevant taxes as per BIR regulations.
• Ensure compliance with all filing deadlines to avoid penalties.

2.Compliance Audits:

• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to tax laws and identify areas of risk.
• Collaborate with external auditors during tax-related audits.

3.Tax Planning and Strategy:

• Provide recommendations on tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities and improve cash flow.
• Stay updated on changes in Philippine tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.

4.Record-Keeping:

• Maintain comprehensive and organized tax records to support filings and audits.
• Ensure that all financial and tax-related documentation complies with BIR requirements.

5.Communication:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) during audits and inquiries.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure cohesive compliance efforts.

6.Reporting:

• Prepare and present tax compliance reports to management, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on tax compliance matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting.

• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and BIR processes.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in using tax software and accounting systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

• Experience in handling tax-related audits and inquiries.
