Position Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent dining service to guests in the hotel's restaurant or other food and beverage outlets. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests. The Waiter plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the overall guest satisfaction at the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
  • Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant and escort them to their tables.
  • Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, either manually or using a POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that orders are delivered correctly and to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Check in with guests during their meal to ensure they are enjoying their dining experience and address any issues or additional requests.
Order Management:
  • Communicate guest orders to the kitchen and bar staff accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor the status of orders and follow up with the kitchen to ensure timely service.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including alcoholic drinks, if applicable and with proper certification.
  • Ensure that all orders are complete, properly garnished, and presented in accordance with the hotel's standards.
Table Maintenance:
  • Set up tables with appropriate utensils, glassware, and linens before the start of service.
  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently after guests finish their meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including floors, tables, and service stations.
  • Handle any spills, breakages, or other accidents promptly and discreetly.
Billing and Payments:
  • Present the bill to guests at the end of their meal and process payments accurately.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods securely, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Provide change and receipts to guests as needed, and thank them for dining at the hotel.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Work closely with other waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down buffet stations, private dining areas, and special event setups as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay informed about menu changes, special promotions, and service standards.
Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures related to food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, adhering to the hotel's dress code.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
Experience: Previous experience as a waiter or in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
