The Waitress/Cashier/Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing orders, and handling payments in a restaurant or dining setting. This multifaceted role involves taking food and beverage orders, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests, and efficiently processing transactions. The ideal candidate will be friendly, attentive, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests as they arrive, guide them to their tables, and provide menus.
- Explain the menu, including specials, and answer any questions about food and beverages.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and ensure guests have everything they need for an enjoyable meal.
- Manage cash and card transactions, ensuring accurate change and receipts are provided.
- Prepare and submit sales reports and end-of-shift summaries as required.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables between guests.
