Activities/Accountabilities:
-
Delivery of monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting to the regional EMEA Controlling team (HFM system); - Identifying and implementing processes for reporting, monitoring and reconciling US GAAP and Polish GAAP accounting differences;
- Cooperating with both internal and external auditors to effectively plan and deliver audits to agreed budgets and deadlines;
- Local Polish reporting based on the Polish Accounting Act and managing statistics reporting;
- Preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with the Polish accounting act
- Co-ordinate local company effort around fixed assets and stock counting activities;
- Provide support to the regional tax team for the management of tax issues and transfer pricing activities;
- Development of local policies & procedures aiming at internal control improvement;
- Review account reconciliations
- Support implementation of new systems and regulations (e.g., ESG, KSe F)
- Lease management (Lease Query)
- Performs other supervisor's instructions
Key capabilities:
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline - ACCA or CIMA certification preferred
- 5 years business experience with complex accounting.
- Knowledge of Polish GAAP
- Experience in Polish accounting
- Experience in preparing annual financial statements is a plus
- Skilled in math applications and accounting formulations
- No supervisory responsibility, but provides informal technical support to new accountants and interns.
- Self-management of own workload
- Understanding of finance & accounting from a financial perspective
- Good knowledge of technical activities and procedures to perform duties and a basic knowledge of these elements in other areas
- Good understanding of how the team integrates with others functions to achieve OGSMs.
- Technical-Excellent Microsoft Offices skills
- Solid understanding of database applications
- Technical-Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
- Professional-Excellent interaction, relationship management (oral and written) and customer service skills
