PtP Junior Accountant / PtP Accountant (Self-billing Team)

About the role:
As a Self-Billing Junior Accountant / Accountant in DFDS you will play a crucial role in the seamless and efficient invoicing process for our truck drivers who have successfully completed the transfer of goods. The primary focus of this role will be on CMR checking and proof of delivery (POD) verification to ensure accurate and timely billing
Your main scope of duties and responsibilities include:
CMR and POD (Proof of delivery) checking:
- Thoroughly review CMR documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards
- Identify and address any discrepancies or missing information promptly
- Verify proof of delivery documents to confirm the successful transfer of goods
- Collaborate with relevant teams to resolve any POD issues or discrepancies
- Utilize self-billing processes to raise accurate and timely invoices for completed transfers
- Maintain a systematic approach to invoicing to ensure efficiency and minimize errors
- Work closely with truck drivers, dispatchers, and other relevant teams to gather necessary information for invoicing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any invoicing-related queries or concerns

We expect you to have/be:
- Ability to build a good working relationship with the Team, Local Business Units and external customers e.g. truck drivers
- High communication skills – both in writing, speaking over the phone and in person
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Previous experience in a logistics, transportation-related role or invoicing field is a plus
- Familiarity with CMR documents and proof of delivery processes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel
