Job Description

• have skills to diagnose and fix Server hardware / software issues

You will:

• Maintain and support Microsoft Active Directory.
• Maintain and support VMWare and Xen Server virtual environments.
• Support Microsoft Exchange and Office365.
• Maintain and support HP 3PAR storage arrays.
• Support Citrix Xen Desktop and Xen App environments.
• Liaise with other internal teams and external suppliers as necessary.
• Own support issues through to resolution, providing regular feedback to users and updating calls as appropriate in Jira.
• Respond to alerts from monitoring services and investigate as necessary.
• To design and prepare Virtual/HP/Dell equipment in accordance with GAIN Capital Infrastructure standards.
• To configure and install the physical equipment and install configure O/S and patch management of all servers, databases and applications.
• Support and monitor all servers and disk arrays.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose and fix Server hardware / software issues.
• Knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of the following technologies:
  • Microsoft Exchange and Office365.
  • Active Directory and group policy.
  • VMWare and Xen Server.
  • Microsoft networking infrastructure i.e.: DHCP, DNS
  • HP Servers and HP SIM/Dell Servers and Dell Open Manage.
  • Storage Area Networks.
  • Storage experience – HP 3PAR or other arrays.
  • Citrix Xen Desktop and Xen App.
  • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager.
  • Backup software and management.
• Ability to communicate in English on a daily basis

Nice to have

• VMware v SAN or other Hyper-Converged solutions
• Advanced Powershell scripting skills.
• Experience in Automating Infrastructure related tasks.
• Microsoft Azure
