Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage different financial tasks efficiently and contribute to the overall financial health of the medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
Experience:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage different financial tasks efficiently and contribute to the overall financial health of the medical center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Record all financial transactions, including billing, expenses, and payroll.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate financial reports for management to review and make informed decisions.
- Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor operational costs and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare reports on department spending and assist in variance analysis.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure a cohesive financial strategy and reporting.
- System Management:
- Utilize accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.
- Stay current with technology trends in accounting and healthcare financial management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a healthcare or medical center environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, or similar).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
