Job Description:
Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Civil Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of wet utilities including sewer systems, surface water management, TSE irrigation, and water networks. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience and a strong background in hydraulic modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis:
- Develop and design systems for sewer, surface water, treated sewage effluent (TSE) irrigation, and water networks.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of designed systems.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify design implementation and performance.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize advanced software for hydraulic modeling and design, including but not limited to EPANET, SWMM, or similar tools.
- Provide technical support and advice on wet utility issues throughout the Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on wet utilities design including sewer systems, surface water management, TSE irrigation, and water networks
- Proven experience with hydraulic modeling and analysis.
- Certification: Grade A or B registration with the Qatar Ministry of Municipality (MMUP/UPDA).
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, SWMM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of wet utility systems including sewer, surface water management, TSE irrigation, and water networks.
- Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards in Qatar.
