Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Firewatch/ Holewatch/ Safety watch or similar position
• Prior experience in Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals plants
• Good co-ordination and presentation skills
• Knowledge of international safety codes and standards

Job Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor areas where hot work is being performed to detect and respond to fires or other safety hazards
• Maintain a clear line of sight to the work area and remain alert at all times
• Conduct regular inspections of the work area and surrounding spaces to ensure fire safety
• Ensure that all flammable and combustible materials are removed or protected from the work area.
• Identify and assess potential fire hazards before and during hot work operations.
• Verify firefighting equipment are accessible and in good working condition
• Take immediate action to extinguish small fires using firefighting equipment.
• Raise the alarm and initiate emergency procedures in the event of a significant fire or other emergency
• Assist in the evacuation of personnel from the work area if necessary.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or near-misses to HSE Supervisor/ Officer
