Media Operations Consultant

· This role will be based in Qatar for a period of 1 year (extendable) supporting a major Ministry of Defense transformation programme.

· The central purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice in support of Project DSC. This is a project focused on generating a communications capability (strategic communications; information operations; media operations and psychological operations).

· The focal point for stakeholder strategy, management and planning.

· Lead for the shaping, drafting and implementation of the capability plan for the new organization.

· Providing support to establishing the portfolio function and the ‘creative hub’ that will collectively manage the process of generating campaign teams, prioritising activity, deploying teams operationally to deliver against the set requirement.

· Lead for the drafting of doctrine to support Media Operations/ Public Affairs.

· Supporting the organizational design of the Public Affairs/Media operations function.

· Supporting recruitment to the Media Operations/ Public Affairs Function.

· Providing support to the creation of delivery pathways and in due course assisting with the delivery of the training solutions with specialist advice on Media Operations / Strategic Communications.

· Possessing an ability to interpret, discuss and clarify client requirements and demonstrate the agility to make changes to previous assumptions.

Coaching and mentoring of project team members and for those recruited to staff the new organization

Education:

BA/BSc
Advanced Command and Staff Course (psc(J)) qualified.
Programme/ Project management qualifications.

Years of Experience:

· 10+ years Strategic Communications, Media Operations experience.
· An expert on in running media operations in a military/ conflict environment.
· Experience of drafting policy and working practices
· Experience of training design, planning and delivery would be desirable.
· International Consultancy experience in the Middle East working with international teams is preferable.
Experience of coaching/ mentoring is desirable.
