1. What do we do
People should love their job. Unfortunately, most jobs involve terrible admin and reporting processes.
At Avenir, we decided to help people save time and let them focus on the part of the job they love. Starting with financial advisers.
Our product enables financial advisers to extract data from a lot of different sources (PDFs, Word, audio) and consolidate them into reports. All of this leveraging an AI they can trust, automating 80% of the part of the job they hate.
2. Who are we
Ex-Revolut, Deutsche Bank and Master Card employees and serial entrepreneurs. We launched the company 1 year ago and raised a $500K pre-seed round 6 months ago led by SFC Capital and Techstars, the most selective startup accelerator in Europe.
We are now recruiting an Operations Manager to help bring the product to the next stage.

4. What the job will look like
You will be the right hand of our CEO for product management, benchmarks, strategic decisions and templates implementation for Avenir clients.
Your first main task will be to implement client report templates into Avenir product.
This involves multiple steps including:

• Breaking down clients’ templates into sets of data that the AI will extract - requiring research work and problem-solving
• Create prompts to come up with the best way to extract this data from a set of documents - requiring prompt engineering, creating chain-of-thoughts prompts, playing with the AI
• Link the extracted data to the equivalent of a Word template - requiring some “coding” in Jinja
• Maintain and improve the quality of the prompt - requiring test creation and automation

You will be responsible for optimising the pipeline of report creation to deliver quality to our clients. You will have a say in the features we will develop to streamline any of the processes you will own.
5. Your background
Required :

• Ready to start as soon as possible
• Highly adaptable: we move fast and pivots are frequent. We expect someone who is able to adapt if the entire process has to change.
• Open communication: honesty and transparency.
• Ability to explain your work clearly and confidently.
• Smart and active mindset.
• Fast learner.
• Fluent in English.
• Engineering educational background (preferably graduate)
• Hands on experience on coding on SQL/Python is mandatory

Strong plus:

• Jinja experience is a huge plus
• Interest towards AI and the financial industry - you will interact daily with AI tools.

It’s a startup. While we don’t believe in exploiting people, we don’t believe in 9 to 5 either. Some weeks will be rough, some chill - keep this in mind.
6. Legal details

• 6-month internship - opportunity to turn into a full-time role
• 3-4 days per week (possibility to increase to full-time role with 5 days after a probation period)
• Ready to start as soon as possible
• 30 days paid annual leave
• You need to be legally allowed to work in the UK. We are not in a position to sponsor a visa in the next 6 months.
